Kick-off meeting  in Bangkok

Professor Dr Ulrich Schurr (Director of IBG-2) and Dr Narong Sirilertworakul (President of NSTDA) signed the cooperation agreement

The kick-off meeting of the CASSAVASTORE project took place in Bangkok from 27.02. - 03.03.2017. During the meeting, the cooperation contract was signed by Professor Dr Ulrich Schurr (Director of IBG-2) and Dr Narong Sirilertworakul (President of  NSTDA). Furthermore, the CASSAVASTORE project was introduced to the science community through several talks by scientists of the consortia during AgBio Conference 2017. HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and His Excellency Ambassador Peter Prügel (Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany) visited the phenotyping platform for cassava, which was displayed in the exhibition hall during the conference. On March 2nd, the work package leaders introduced their work packages and informed of the progress. Finally, members of the CASSAVASTORE consortia visited a cassava farm and processing plant the following day, concluding the kick-off meeting. CASSAVASTORE is funded by the BMBF and NSTDA and is the first project under the umbrella agreement 'ThaIBG-2'.
